I had a great first time experience here. Leaving the camp site in the morning and stopping here for a simple breakfast and coffee turned out to be a full blow meal that made my rushing and appetite be gone. One bad thing is that Copper had to stay in the vehicle while we ate breakfast. Not dog friendly...but I respect it.

I have been here several times over the years, always pretty good. Service can be a bit slow, but always friendly. Cold beer and pretty cool specials. AYCE Fish Fry on Friday (had it last night delicious), Prime Rib on Saturday and Blueberry Pancakes on Sunday.

We have eaten here a few times over the years when staying at a friend's cabin nearby. The food is always great. Just keep in mind, this is an old cafe. Nothing fancy, you're going to smell like grease when you walk out unless the windows are open, and they call you Hon. But the food and service are great! And in the summer they have a great outdoor patio to dine at. Green Chili cheeseburgers are my wife's favorites! The fish is great...either as a sandwich or fish n chips. Breakfast is hearty and what you would expect at an old cafe. The biscuits and gravy are average IMHO. I have yet to find anyone in AZ that makes good Biscuits and Gravy. It should have ground sausage and lots of it in the gravy! In AZ, the gravy is either meatless or you might find a nugget here and there. Oh, and they don't allow dogs on the patio?? Wait...what...but it's a patio in the woods!! Because of that, I removed one star. When camping nearby, most people have their pets and you have to keep them in the car or get it To Go. Must not be pet lovers. Great General Store/Gas Stations next door with whatever supplies you need or want. If you are in the area and hungry, this is your only choice for about an hour in any direction. Which is okay as the food is always good and it satisfies. And it will take you back into the old days when times were much more laid back and simpler. Just perfect for a little cafe in the middle of rim country. Now, lets talk about your pet policy....

They do not allow dogs on the patio. So, not dog friendly at all. I had my dog camping with us, he had to be outside the patio. :( This isn't a health code, they're just being butts.

Great place to stop all except the very unfriendly service. Not sure if she was the owner or we caught her on a bad day but after many thank yous to her she never once smiled or said your welcome, didn't ask how the food was that made the experience sour. We ordered a variety of options and especially the well noted biscuits and gravy which were some of the best! Everything is intended for easy prep all pre frozen or microwaved but it is what it is for a rural area. Would come back if we are in the area again just hope they are more welcoming and appreciative ... Not the chefs fault! :)

Are you looking for a great reason to take a road trip? What about delicious pancakes that are bigger than you head or the best biscuits you have ever laid your teeth into? Long Valley Cafe is a cute cafe with all the charm of small town America. This lovely little restaurant has large glass windows so you can gaze out into the woods as you dine. The portions are huge and the service is friendly. Definitely worth the drive!

We love this place! I agree with others that it is a great reason for a road trip! My husband and his father have stopped here for years on their hunting trips. Highlights include the milkshakes, burgers, and heavenly biscuits and gravy. My hubby says the biscuits and gravy are the best in the STATE. I would have to agree with him after trying them several times. Wonderful views of the woods of course, along with great prices, top off the super duper experience. Stop in when you're up north!
